Wood-Mode re-opens with limited production effective 4-27-2020

Since temporarily closing on 3/20/20 as part of the Pennsylvania Governor’s response to COVID-19, we have been engaged with local, state, and federal authorities to access the best timing and practices for re-opening our production facility. Our goal is to resume production in a way that allows us to continue to build on the momentum we started last fall while also protecting our staff.

On April 7, 2020, The Pennsylvania Governor and the Secretary of Health granted Wood-Mode, LLC, a partial waiver to resume limited operations within guidelines for production and employee safety. During this time, we will not be releasing new orders to production but will continue to receive orders as we work with authorities toward re-establishing full production.

We will begin calling back a small number of employees starting 4/20/20 and will resume limited production on Monday, 4/27/20. Until we return to full production, we will be selectively staffing each department as needed, and adapting our production process to maximize social distancing. Staff will be asked to return on a voluntary basis and, during this time of limited production, declining to return to work will have no negative impact on the employee’s position.

While we can re-open the facility on a limited basis, our community and country are still managing through the issues with COVID-19. Our goal is to maintain a healthy business operation and a healthy work environment. Thus, until further notice, Wood-Mode is implementing guidelines from the CDC based on what is currently known about COVID-19.

Wood-Mode is under strict guidelines in which we can resume limited production. Prior to the closing, we were adding production capacity to meet the growing demand. We understand that there will be some challenges and frustration as some projects are not able to resume based on the guidelines. During this time of limited production, we will continue to work with authorities to find the best way to resume full production while maintaining our priority of a safe work environment for our employees.

We will issue additional updates as needed.
