The fully custom Wood-Mode line is comprised of Design Group 42—traditional framed construction—and Design Group 84—offering frameless construction. Each Design Group offers 30 door styles, many in solid wood, along with numerous design options, including mouldings, turnings, inserts and decorative hardware. Design Group 42 also offers several inset doors, and Design Group 84 has a number of plain doors in wood veneer or laminate.

Design Group 42 drawers feature solid maple construction with true dovetail joints.


Many of the same construction features are standard in both Design Groups, including—

  • Stained finishes applied in a 16-step process, including an exclusive hand-rubbing step

  • Adjustable shelves that lock firmly into place

  • Extra-wide cabinet openings

  • Heavy-duty solid maple dovetail drawers

  • Full-extension under-mount drawer slides—for a wider interior storage space—with the new Blumotion® soft-closing action and special stops to prevent the drawers from being pulled out
