Acting
on his clients' wishes to create
an open, flowing kitchen, Glenn
Donohue of Kenwood Kitchens used
Wood-Mode
Sonoma cabinetry with a
stain finish. Long, parallel
counters and convenient storage
options all contribute to the
room's functionality.

Peggy Helgeson, CKD, with Geneva
Cabinet Company, designed this
elegant kitchen using Wood-Mode
Barcelona cabinetry.
Using the island as the focal
point, Helgeson managed to
conceal
pull-out trash bins, a
mixer cabinet, and a
warming drawer with doors and
drawers.

This contemporary
Vanguard kitchen
by Wood-Mode is just what the
homeowners were looking for: a
space that is efficient and easy
to care for, but that would also
allow room for their pottery
collection. Designer Mary Liebhold used a number of
innovative design tricks in the
kitchen. The walls are covered
with sheets of glass, and ribbed
glass inserts are turned inside
out to create visual interest
but also yield easy clean-up.
Design: Mary Liebhold,
The Kitchen Specialist,
Durham, NC.

When Kathy Owens was given the
task of designing the most
efficient kitchen possible for
this new home, she met and far
exceeded the homeowners'
expectations using Brookaven
Vista cabinetry. Among
the kitchen's unique elements
are the U-shaped soffit and
pendant lighting, and cabinets
that operate on a hydraulic
system that allows the homeowner
to raise or lower the cabinets.

Kathy's Designer Kitchens,
Homewood, AL.

Working with homeowners who knew
exactly what they wanted in
their kitchen made designer
Kathy Owens' job much easier.
Using the classic
Colony
door style, a variety of
convenient storage options, and
a colorful blend of tiles in the
backsplash, Owens created yet
another kitchen that is dually
stylish and functional

When these homeowners relocated
to California from Connecticut,
they didn't want a kitchen that
was "cold," so they hired Debbie
Nassetta of Roomscapes to design
a new "warmer" kitchen. Cherry
Lancaster Recessed
cabinetry with intermittent
olive ash burl inserts, a
spacious island, and colorful
tiles all help to create the
warm kitchen the homeowners were
looking for.
Design: Debbie Nassetta,
Roomscapes,
Laguna Niguel, CA.
