Although Washington, D.C.-based designer Darryl Carter was apprehensive about designing a kitchen for his parents, the end result is an organized, functional take on classic black and white. Embassy cabinetry in a dark finish provides a stark contrast to light counters, floors, and backsplash tiles. Full-height wall cabinets and built-in storage allow the homeowners to utilize every inch of this kitchen.
