By
using Brookhaven
Springfield doors and
Colony drawer heads
with beaded pilasters,
the designer achieved
an inset door look.
The result is a
"timeless
kitchen" that
blends with the 1904
house. A unique
feature is the sink's
table like base with
turned legs. It has no
doors, but rather
fabric panels to hide
the storage under the
sink.

A
turn-of-the-20th-century
kitchen received a
complete makeover with
Barcelona
cabinetry in a Vintage
White finish as well
as new appliances,
modern-day amenities,
and an abundance of
convenience options.
However, the kitchen
retained its period
look and feel with
carefully chosen details.

A
farmhouse kitchen was
redesigned with a U-shaped
work core in the middle of a
large open space. The base of
the U, which serves as a
divider between the kitchen
and the family room, features
double access cabinets with Glass
doors above as well as
lower cabinets that conceal a
TV positioned for family room
viewing. Concord
pine cabinetry, two wooden
posts, and pine paneling on
the outside of the work core
provide the ideal tie-in to
the home's wooded site.
