Transitions
This kitchen combines two door styles, each with olive ash burl inserts. Sonoma cabinetry in Oak with a stain finish and Sturbridge cabinetry in Maple with an Heirloom finish create a space that derives its style from several influences. Although the mantel hood is Contemporary, beveled horizontal mouldings draw the eye outward and around the room in a manner reminiscent of the Art Deco and Prairie School traditions. The crown detail above the wall cabinets draws on oriental and transitional furniture motifs.
